TK. Type 1’s partnership with Elbow Bump Kid amplifies their mission to provide families impacted by Type 1 Diabetes the opportunity to thrive, learn, and grow despite the diagnosis. Together, they offer a variety of impactful programs, including college scholarships to help students with Type 1 Diabetes pursue their academic dreams, and host events to raise awareness and foster community. Additionally, they provide essential resources to help families manage the challenges of daily life with T1D. Through their Diaversary Card Program, they celebrate every victory, big or small, acknowledging the resilience of those living with Type 1 Diabetes and creating a sense of pride and accomplishment in the journey.

Programs and Initiatives:

Scholarships: Providing financial assistance to young adults with T1D pursuing higher education. In 2024, two $1,000 scholarships were awarded to Connecticut residents, with applications for 2025 opening on March 1.

Diaversary Card Program: Sending personalized cards to individuals commemorating their “diaversary,” the anniversary of their T1D diagnosis, to offer encouragement and support.
